We have a new local supplier of candles and diffusers in the shop, with a wide range of scents to treat yourself to or gift to others

January 2023

We are back open after Christmas and New Year and we are cooking again! Hot food from the main menu and weekly Specials. Made to order take aways are also available.  

We are looking for a commited outgoing individual to work 9-3:30 Monday to Friday and every other Saturday. Part time considered for the right people but must be able to be here until after 3pm. Busy friendly shop, cafe and restaurant with indoor and outside eating, serving breakfast, lunch, afternoon teas, ice cream sundaes and more. The role will involve making barista drinks, waiting tables, washing up, serving customers, cash handling, making icecream sundaes, general cleaning and any other adhoc duties required. Part Time Job Vacancy

Experienced in customer service, licensed cafe/restaurant staff required. Very busy environment working within a small team. Must be energetic, polite, friendly and outgoing. Willing to train in any areas required. Role includes barista, serving customers, pot wash, cleaning etc. Experience preferred. Must be able to work between 9-3:30 Monday-Saturday. We are open with indoor seating in the cafe and at the coffee bar for plated food, as well as in the garden. We are still operating a reduced menu for breakfast and lunch but sandwiches, baguettes, panini's, wraps, jacket potatoes etc are available along and from Monday 4th October we have our homemade soups and quiches available! Different flavours available throughout the week. 

Unfortunately we can not currently allow dogs inside. If you would like to bring your dog please book a table for outside. Apologies for any inconvenience.

NEW TREASURE TRAIL 

A 1.5mile walk around the village, working out clues, looking for wildlife and returning to us for refreshments. Purchase instore. Approx. 1 hour to complete.   

We now take preorders for our homemade weekly Specials, a week in advance. They vary each week.

We have completely stocked the shop to create a minimart to enable our customers to do their complete weekly shop with us. We have lots of fresh produce including fruit, vegetables, meat, dairy, bread, homemade quiches, sausage rolls, home cooked ham by the slice, frozen goods, alcohol and much more. You are welcome to visit and browse, to select your own items or we are offering a collection service. If you decide to visit we are operating a policy of only 2 customers at a time, to help ensure the 2 metre distancing rules can be adhered to and we ask our customers to be aware of the space around them. We provide hand sanitiser for our customers to use whilst instore and before they leave. Everything including baskets are cleaned constantly throughout the day.

Our collection service enables you to email us thegrocerchef@gmail.com with your list and we do our best to obtain all of the items on it. We frequently will have all items instore and therefore we can liaise with you regarding collection asap. Orders that require us to obtain items, have a turnaround time of 48 hours so we urge customers to order in advance. You will receive frequent communication from ourselves whilst your order is processed.
